Darrel L. Wensel
On Oct. 22nd 2013 Darrel L. Wensel was called home to heaven. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was born on May 17th 1930 in Sioux City, Iowa. Moved to Calif. as a young teen. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He married his sweetheart Louise on Dec. 25th 1951 and faithfully cared for her until her death in 1975. He retired from S.C.Edison Co. after 33yrs. In retirement he enjoyed having a small cattle ranch, fishing trips, and vacations with friends and family. He attended Etiwanda Brethren in Christ Church, was a long time member of the Ontario Elks, and Sheriffs assoc. member. He is survived by his daughters DeAnne L. Mullen and Dayna L. Emerich, grandchildren Larae Sanchez, Shaun Emerich, Jennifer Acevedo, Bryce Mullen, and Matthew Mullen. 7+ great grandchildren. He is also survived by sister Carrol Sabel of San Jose and David Wensel of Cathedral City. Services are being held at Drapers Mortuary in Ontario on Oct. 30th, 2013. Viewing at 11am and Services at 1pm.
