Ida Henderson, a kind and gentle woman with just the right amount of spark, passed away peacefully this February 12, 2013, at her home in Calimesa surrounded by family. Ida was someone you just wanted to get close to and spend time with because she made you laugh and feel so very special - a gift not possessed by all, but a gift that made her loved by all.
Ida is survived by her children, Sharon and Ed Hein of Brooklyn, NY; David and Kathy Henderson of Sun Valley; and Dyle and Kathy Henderson of Tujunga; and her grandchildren Krista and Richard Sheppard; Alana Hein; Dyle Hein; and Joey, Sarah, Alicia, and Emily Henderson.
Ida Margaret Sanchez was born on Feb. 25, 1925 in Los Angeles. She traced her lineage back to 1598 as part of the Chavez family of New Mexico. Ida was married to Dyle Henderson for 65 years. In their retirement they built a home in Anza, CA, where their family enjoyed gathering around them for 30 years. She will be buried next to Dyle at Riverside National Cemetery.
