Jack Cox Obituary
Jack Cox

On this day April 2, 2013, we lost a great father. We also lost a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother and friend to many. We also lost someone who cared for the working class all of his life. Jack was in the Navy as a young man and later spent 38 years as a dedicated secretary treasurer of Teamsters Local 572 in Carson, CA. For 16 of those years he was an International vice president of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and also served on Joint Council 42, Western Conference of Teamsters. In addition, he was a member of the Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board for the State of California appointed by Governor Gary Davis. He dedicated his life to making the work place better for workers everywhere. He is survived by his wife, Marlene; and has six children: sons, Mike, James, George, John, David; and daughter, Judy. He also has eleven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. Should friends desire, Jack's favorite charity was the City of Hope. Please sign the guestbook
