RAHM, Kathleen (Kate) Edna Dailey
Kathleen (Kate) Edna Dailey Rahm, 64, passed away on July 2nd, 2013 at her home in Whittier, CA. She was born on June 7th, 1949 in Marlborough, MA to Rodney and Margaret (Smith) Dailey.
Kate grew up in Pacifica and Costa Mesa, CA. She
graduated from Costa Mesa High School in Costa Mesa, CA in 1967. After high school she moved to New York City to pursue acting at the Academy of Dramatic Arts. She started work for Certified Appliance in the late 70s and worked as a secretary before moving up to Business Manager/Co-owner before it closed in 2007. After its closing, she took a position as Business Manager for St. Gregory the Great Church until her retirement.
Kate married Alonzo Charles Rahm in 1981 in Whittier, CA. She was a devoted wife for 32 years and a mother to her daughters Maggie and Emily.
Kate was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church, where she was in charge of liturgical ministries. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, swimming, and spending time with her family.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her father, Rodney; her mother Margaret; and her brother Joe.
Kathleen is mourned by her husband Alonzo; her daughters, Margaret (Maggie) and Emily; her sisters Rebecca, Ruth, Julia and Molly; her nieces and nephews and other people who loved her.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church at 13935 Telegraph Rd, Whittier, CA on July 13th, 2013 at 10 am. A visitation will be held at 9:30 am, prior to the funeral at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. A private family burial will occur after the mass.
