LAURETTE "LETTIE" LOVELL ODNEY

Born in Los Angeles January 7, 1923, graduated from UC Santa Barbara and the Pasadena playhouse with a penchant for theatrical. Come WWII, Lettie enlisted in the WAVES and served from 1943 to 1945. She performed in numerous dramas at the Pasadena Playhouse and the Glendale Centre Theatre. Lettie met husband, Doug Odney, in a production of "Career" in 1957. She took her talents to the Editorial side of movie making with numerous credits and awards including an Emmy for "Amazing Stories" in 1985. An avid fan of horseracing, Lettie and Doug became horse breeders and raced in California and New Jersey. The best "credit" of all was to hear Lettie laugh. It could light up a room.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Doug Odney.
