ELIAS, Madelyn H. Elias

Madelyn H. Elias, 34, of La Verne was called to be with the Lord on May 22, 2012 after a long courageous battle against
Leukemia.

Madelyn graduated from Bishop Amat HS and went on to receive her BA in English from UC Riverside and her teaching credential from the University of La Verne.

She was an elementary school teacher at Magnolia and Dalton schools in the Azusa Unified School District. Madelyn was passionate about making a difference in the lives of her students and was a role model to all those around her.
She had a love of travel and was a life-long USC Trojan fan. Madelyn lived by the Trojan spirit until the end…Fight On!

Madelyn is survived by her father and mother, Tony and Lupe Elias, brother Cameron Elias, sister Jillian (George) Garcia, and Godson Anthony and nieces Mia Guzman, and Madelyn, Samantha, and Ava Garcia and her beloved grandmother Queta Vasquez. Madelyn was preceded in death by her grandparents Victor Z Vasquez and Cedric and Dolores Elias. Vigil will be held Tuesday, May 29 2012 7:00pm Saint Frances of Rome Church. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, May 30, 2012 8:30am Saint Frances of Rome Interment to follow at Oakdale Memorial Park.
