Martin Alan Weiss
February 2, 1959 - December 19, 2012
Martin (Marty) passed away in His sleep at the early age of 53 from a heart attack.
He died in Houston, Texas while traveling home from Mississippi.
Marty was born in Pomona Ca. and graduated from Pomona High School in 1977, where He excelled at football and weight lifting. He furthered His education at Mt. SAC and became an X-Ray Technician. His passion for sports saw Him play the games of golf, football, rugby, softball, baseball, weight lifting, billiards, snow skiing, fisherman, boxing and mixed martial arts. He lived in Kahuku, Hawaii for many years before moving to South Lake Tahoe, Ca to spend the rest of His life. He was an Oakland Raider fan and an Oakland A's fan. He used to say to me, you can take Marty out of Pomona but you can't take Pomona out of Marty. He joins His Father, Arnold Weiss, and Uncle, Melvin Weiss. I'm sure they are happy to see each other and have found a good crap table and have a game of golf lined up. He is survived by His Mother D. Joanne Weiss of Pomona, Sister Cindy Weiss Haston (Brother-In-law Ken Haston) of Pomona; Sister Carol (Bill) McKenzie of Elmira, New York, Brother Terry (Kay)Weiss of Clancy, Montana; nephew David (Maureen, Dominick, Melia and Haley) Haston of Fullerton Ca.; niece Dr. Andrea L. Haston of Upland, Ca; nephew Brandon (Melissa and Perrin) Weiss of Pomona, Ca; nephew Brian (Jenny and Lucie B) McKenzie of NY; niece Leslie (David and Louie) Zinni of NY and last but not least the love of His life Lorraine Wallock of Novato, Ca. He leaves many friends who can't believe He is gone and will be dearly missed by them all. Rest In Peace my Brother. The family will have a private Celebration of Marty's life.
