At the age of 90, Molly passed away on June 26, 2013, at her home of 65 years in Sunland, Calif., surrounded by family. She was born Nov. 1, 1922, one of 13 children, to Ernest and Anna Rubinstein Estin in Los Angeles.
During WWII she worked at Lockheed Aircraft Company, the first woman to become head of the P-38 stockroom. In the 1960s she went to work for Los Angeles Unified School District, where she retired after 20 years. She was very proud when she earned her high school diploma in 1968. She was an avid Dodger fan and worked at the Dodger Stadium for many years. Molly was a lifetime member of the Sunland Women's Club who support numerous charities. She was always there for others. Molly met the love of her life, Ray Edward Davis, who she married on September 28, 1946. They had 6 children, 3 boys and 3 girls, between the years of 1948 to 1957. Molly lost her youngest son, Ray Edward Davis Jr., in 1983 at the age of 25, to a brain tumor. Her husband, Ray Sr., passed away in 1988.
For Molly, her children were her life treasures. Family is where her heart and pride was. Being from a very large family, her brothers and sisters formed a family club, the Descendants, 55 years ago. They still meet several times a year to celebrate holidays and raise money for needy causes.
