Andre, Robert Louis "Bob"
Robert "Bob" Louis Andre passed on
January 1st, 2013. He was born June 30, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan. Bob is survived by his wife Lois; sister, Helen Putinta; sons: Pierre, Jim, Lonnie; daughters: Carolyn Freeman and Jill Prochison; and 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Bob was a loving friend to many and a Sponsor to the Emmanuel Baptist Mission, Los Angeles. He was loved by all who knew him and his life serves as an inspiration to his family and friends.
Bob served as a Marine in the 5th Division
World War II
. He was a construction contractor for over 40 years and took pride working with his sons on many projects. He gave generous donations at Christmas to needy families, along with landscape, building projects, and maintenance to many churches around the San Gabriel Valley.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, January 10th, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Custer Christiansen Mortuary, 124 S. Citrus Ave. Covina. Funeral service will be held on January 11th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the White Avenue Baptist Church, 675 S. White Ave. Pomona. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Emmanuel Baptist Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 86893,Los Angeles 90086.
