Ronald Meyer Obituary

Ronald L. Meyer
Age 81, was born January 3, 1931, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and died October 2, 2012. Ron attained degrees from Temple University, University of La Verne, and Cal State LA, as well as served in the Army. He began his teaching career in the Bonita and Pomona School Districts before he found his home in the Claremont Unified School District in 1969. He served in Claremont for 18 years as an administrator and well into retirement, doing various special projects he loved, such as summer school and theater.
Ron possessed a love for life that was unmatched by anyone who knew him. His enthusiasm to spread laughter and happiness were only surpassed by his desire to share life's experiences with those around him. The lives he touched were enormously enriched for having known him. He will be dearly missed by his close family and many friends.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at 12:00 noon at Temple Beth Israel, 3033 Towne Ave in Pomona.
Donations can be made in Ron's honor to the Theater Project - CHS, C/O Claremont Unified School District, 170 West San Jose Avenue Claremont, CA 91711.

A generous, funny and intelligent man from my brief visits with him and from how I knew his niece and nephew loved and adored him. I know he will be missed but his memory cherished.
