ARLINE VIRGINIA ANDERSON was born on September 14, 1922, in Missouri and passed away peacefully to be with God on January 27, 2011, in Redlands, CA. Arline came to California during WWII. She obtained a job working towards the war effort at the Port of Embarkation in Wilmington, CA, with her soon to be sister-in-law, Evelyn Anderson. In 1945 she met and married a sailor named Gene L. Anderson, also from Missouri, had three girls and settled down in San Bernardino in 1955. She and our beloved father had a wonderful marriage until his death in 1976. She loved dancing and music, especially that of the "Big Band" era. We know our Mama and Daddy are together again dancing cheek to cheek. Arline was a beloved mother to her three daughters, Kathy Coffey (Paul) of Willis, TX, Karen Thau, and Marsha Prahar, both of San Bernardino. She was also grandmother to Brandon Thau (Cris), Carrie DeRuyter (Larry), Allison Gardner (Jim), Bart and Amy Coffey, she was great grandmother to Natalie and Luke Gardner, Tristan and Sebastian Thau, and aunt to Therese Kempernolte. Arline will be greatly missed not only by her family and friends but also by the many people she touched by her quick wit and sense of humor. Her family wishes to thank the staff and many friends at Asistencia Villa who lovingly provided care, and friendship over the last few years. Cremation and no services were Arline's wishes and her family is honoring that.
