Crystal Quintana Garcia
June 14, 1926 – April 28, 2014
Passed away at Redlands Community Hospital on the morning of April 28, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She lived her entire life in Redlands, CA. She attended Lincoln Elementary, Redlands Junior High, and Redlands Senior High Schools. She was active in the community as a member of the American Legion Post 650 Women's Auxiliary, was an Instructional Aide in the Redlands Unified School District, and was an active member of the Southern California Genealogical Society. She was deeply involved in researching her Quintana family heritage/genealogy. It should be remembered that the Quintana family was one of Redlands pioneering families who contributed much to the city's legacy and beauty. This was especially true in the areas of construction, and the final completion (lath and plastering) of some of the city's many and most historical landmarks and architecture (mansions, buildings, and homes).
Her immediate Quintana family, while she was growing up, was a large family; consisting of a total of 12 family members (including her father and mother, Antonio and Paula respectively). There was a total of 10 siblings; 7 sisters and 3 brothers. Her brothers preceding her in death were Angel, Michael, and Antonio, Jr. Her sisters preceding her in death were Catherine, Nellie, Linda (Lindy), Antonia (Toni), and Annie. She is survived by her sister Carmen Flores.
She was married to Emilio (Milo) Barbo Garcia for 57 years. In their lives together, Crystal and Milo had 3 boys, 4 grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. She is survived by sons Ronald (Ronnie), and Adrian Garcia. Her third and youngest son, Jaime (Shammie) Garcia, did precede her in death. Grandchildren are Amy, Stephanie, Jamie, and Anthony Garcia. Great-granddaughter is Riley.
