James Joseph Bazner Sr. Obituary
James Joseph Bazner, Sr.
Was born on October 11, 1932 in Detroit, MI and died May 7, 2014 in Highland, CA surrounded by family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 56 years of marriage, Lillian, and his three children and son-in-law: Deborah, JR, Michelle and her husband Mark. Jim served in the Air Force for 23 years as a crew chief and flight engineer and had deployments in Vietnam and Korea and logged over 10,000 flying hours. After the Air Force he worked in a auto parts store and then for the US Postal Service as a vending machine mechanic. In his personal life, Jim was an avid bowler and entered many tournaments. He was gifted in fixing things, whether it was cars or machinery. He loved to go fishing, camping, and to Polish Festivals with family. He enjoyed spending time with extended family and friends. He was a fierce fan of both the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers. He will be missed. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers that donations be made in his name instead to either to Alzheimer's Foundation of America (AFA) or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 13 at 1:00 pm at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary in Colton, CA.
