Shirley Elaine Fasana
Longtime resident of San Bernardino, California, Shirley Fasana passed away on 24 July 2014 in Springfield, Virginia. Shirley Fasana was born on 1924 in Los Angeles, California to Marshall and Minta Howell. She grew up in Pomona, California and Graduated from Pomona High School in 1942. After High School, She attended Throne's Business College in Pomona. She later moved to San Bernardino, California with her parents. During the Second World War, Shirley supported the war effort by serving as a civilian at Norton Air Force Base. After the War, Shirley was a bookkeeper for several years at Maloof's Packard (Automobile Company) in San Bernardino. In 1957, Shirley married George Fasana of San Bernardino. During their long marriage, Shirley was a mother, grandmother, and homemaker. In 1977, she was a bookkeeper for the Colton School District until her retirement in 1985. She was a longtime Christian and committed member of the Calvary "Red Barn" Chapel in San Bernardino. After the death of her husband George in 2004, Shirley moved to Virginia to live near her son's family. Shirley is survived by her son Kenton Fasana, her daughter-in-law Carolyn O'Neill Fasana and her three grandchildren: Zachary Fasana, Rachael Fasana, and Lizzie Fasana. Friends welcome at a graveside service to celebrate Shirley's life on Monday, August 4 at 10 am at the Montecito Memorial Park, Colton.
