Dr. Richard F. Brown MD
84, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013 at his home in Grand Terrace, CA. He was born in Berkeley, CA. He is a member of Gem State Academy class of 1945. Richard graduated from Walla Walla College of Theology; served in the Army at Ft Houston, TX until 1952; and then studied medicine, graduating from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1958.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Grand Terrace, CA; children Carolyn Marovitch, Barbara Cloe and Dr. Harold Brown. He has 6 grandchildren. Richard retired from his Redlands, CA private Family Practice in 1992, then volunteered at Hospice while working part time for Loma Linda University Cancer Research. He was a charter member of the Azure Hills SDA church, loved music, debating theological issues, and gardening.
A memorial service will be held at Azure Hills SDA Church, Grand Terrace, on Saturday, February 16 at 3 pm. Burial service will be private.
