CLINE, Lela Grunetta

Lela Grunetta Cline, 80, passed away suddenly September 6, 2013. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on January 17, 1933 and was a 44 year resident of Hacienda Heights. Grunetta is survived by her husband of 58 years, Don, her middle school sweetheart, and her two daughters, Janna (Jose) of Camarillo and Brenna of Hacienda Heights, and two grandchildren, Bryce and Becca. She worked as a physical therapist up
until the day she passed and loved her colleagues and patients. The Dodgers and Cal Bears lost a huge fan. Grunetta spent many years as a Girl Scout leader and loved the organization and the friends made there. Although not an avid chef the neighborhood will miss her annual Christmas fudge. In her younger days she taught many to water ski and enjoyed weekends at the Delta with the boat. But her biggest love was family get togethers, where she cooked excessive amounts of food (she always said she learned this from her Grandmother's boarding house ways).

A funeral mass is scheduled September 28, 2013 at 12:30 with a reception to follow at Queen of Heaven in Rowland Heights. For those who are interested, her favorite charity was the Girl Scouts of America.
