Bailey, Lloyd C. "Buck" - Orwigsburg  
Lloyd C. "Buck" Bailey, 92, of McKeansburg, died peacefully Monday at Seton Manor Inc., Orwigsburg. Buck was born in Mc-Keansburg, March 18, 1923, a son of the late Charles W. and Alma J. Stamm Bailey. He was the husband of Reta M. "Sis" Smith Bailey, whom he married Jan. 27, 1951. He served in the Army during World War II with 3512 Ordnance Medium Automotive Maintenance Co. A 1941 graduate of Tamaqua High School, Buck was employed as a construction inspector for the Pennsylvania Department of Highways. He then went to Hamburg Hospital and worked in the maintenance department. Buck worked for the railroad early in life and is most remembered for being a bartender for Brady's Seafood House, now The McKeansburg Hotel, for many years. He was a member of Christ Church McKeansburg, and a life member of the New Ringgold Fire Company and the Hamburg American Legion. He was preceded in death by an infant son; a grandson, John L. Bailey; a sister, Josephine A. Bartashus. Surviving, in addition to his wife of 64 years, Reta, are two sons, Bruce L. Bailey, husband of Diane, Schuylkill Haven, and Charles H. Bailey, husband of Laura, Tamaqua; two grandsons, Ryan L. Bailey and Justin C. Bailey, husband of Kate; a granddaughter, Ashley L., wife of Stephen Pliska; four great-grandchildren, Bailey R. Pliska, Kenneth Bailey, Evan and Isaac Pliska. A religious service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., Orwigsburg, with the Rev. Sunny L. Stock officiating. Family and friends are invited to call from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Drehersville Evangelical Cemetery. Blickley, Phyllis G. - Minersville  
Phyllis G. Blickley, 60, of Minersville, passed away Thursday at her residence. Phyllis was born in Beaumont, Texas on November 8, 1954, a daughter of John and Marlyn Newsome Norris. She is survived by a daughter, Samantha, wife of Thomas Starrett, Tremont; grandchildren, Shaun, Daniel and Gabriella. Services are private at the convenience of family. Bowers, Jean E. - Stroudsburg  
Mrs. Jean E. Bowers, 86, of Stroudsburg, passed away Thursday afternoon at Grace Park where she was a resident for three years. She was the widow of Dr. Lester J. Bowers. Born on April 2, 1929, in Lykens, she was one of five daughters and one son of the late Guy and Winnie Koehler Erdman. Jean lived in Monroe County for the last fifty-five years. Her working career started after raising her three children. At that time, she worked for Dr. Joseph Viglione in Stroudsburg, starting as a receptionist and eventually became an office manager, making certain that the office ran smoothly every day. She later enjoyed working with Joyce Danielewicz at Joyce's Beauty Salon. Jean was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Stroudsburg, and the Red Hat Society. She was preceded in death this year by her daughter-in-law, Diana Bowers; and two sisters, Pauline Scheibley and Margaret Wiest. Surviving Jean are three children, Dr. James R. Bowers, Lansdale, Susan Pierson and her husband, David, Okatie, S.C., and Barbara Hults and her husband, Richard, Hudson, Ohio; six grandchildren, Jill Pietrocini, Jeffrey Pierson, Heather Quinn, Danielle Marek, Tyler Hults and Mason Hults; six great-grandchildren, Joseph Pietrocini, Emma Pietrocini, Jack Pierson, Ava Eckley, Benton Pierson and Brayden Quinn; two sisters, Ave Barder, Bucks County, and Lorraine Maurer and her husband, Ronald, Palmyra; and several nieces and nephews. The visitation will be at noon Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church, 9 N. Ninth St., Stroudsburg, followed by funeral services at 1 p.m. The Rev. Dody Siegfried will officiate. Interment will follow in Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg. Arrangements are under the direction of William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main St., Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
