Houser, Marie - Ringtown  
Marie Houser, 64, of Strawberry Lane, Ringtown, passed away Wednesday at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street. Born in Shenandoah, Dec. 3, 1950, she was a daughter of Joseph Markosky, Zion Grove, and the late Alice Gottstein Markosky. She was a 1968 graduate of the West Hazleton High School and last worked in the local garment industry. Marie was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Ringtown. Marie was also a member of the Shenandoah Fish and Game Club and was an avid fan of Philadelphia sports, who enjoyed watching the Eagles and the Phillies as well as Penn State football. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her mother, Marie was preceded in death by her twin sister, Ann Marie Makara, on Jan. 21, 1998; and son, Bill Houser, on Sept. 19, 2010. Marie is survived by her husband of 45 years, William Houser, Ringtown; a daughter, Lora Deihm, Ringtown; a son, Jeff Houser, Ringtown; a sister, Tina Davis, Drums; seven grandchildren, Zane, Emily, Taylor and Autumn Houser, Damien Deihm, Angelina Deritis and Alex Deritis; nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Church, North Center Street, Ringtown. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 W. Main St., Ringtown.
