C. William Bohr

C. William Bohr, 80, of 427 E. Arch St., Pottsville, died Thursday morning at ManorCare Health Services, Sinking Spring, Berks County.

Born in Shamokin, Sept. 15, 1933, he was a son of the late William and Laura Cook Bohr.

William had lived in Pottsville for 13 years. Prior to that, he resided in Auburn.

He was a 1951 graduate of Coal Township High School and a 1958 graduate of Penn State University.

William was a teacher for the Blue Mountain School District and a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Tharptown.

He served in the Army.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Bohr.

Surviving are sons, Brian Bohr and his wife, Anita, Palmyra, Blair Bohr, York, Bradley Bohr and his wife, Cindy, Wyomissing, and Barrett Bohr, Philadelphia; two grandchildren, Alex and Caitlin Bohr; a sister, Anna Mae Nolan, Williamsport.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Emmanuel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Betty Ford officiating. Farrow Funeral Directors, Shamokin, is in charge of arrangements.
