Daniel F. Mazeika

Daniel F. Mazeika, a longtime resident of Girardville, died Nov. 6 at Seasons Hospice, Phoenixville Hospital, Phoenixville.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Jan. 20, 1926, he was a son of the late Frank and Anna Leckner Mazeika.

He served in the Navy in World War II and the Korean War and received an honorable discharge.

A graduate of Penn State University, he worked for most of his career as an industrial engineer for the Department of Defense, Philadelphia.

Daniel was a member of PSU Alumni Association and Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Dolores Mazeika Henninger.

Surviving are a sister, Eugenia Mazeika; a brother, Ernest Mazeika; nieces and nephews; cousins and second cousins.

Interment will take place at 11:30 a.m. today at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Campbell, Ennis and Klotzbach Funeral Home, Phoenixville, was in charge.
