Florence Hanrahan, 84, formerly of Mahanoy City, passed away Saturday afternoon at Shenandoah Senior Living Community, Shenandoah, surrounded by her family.
Born in Shenandoah Heights, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Veronica Molner.
She was educated in the Shenandoah schools.
She was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Roman Catholic Church, Mahanoy City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 1990; sisters, Elizabeth, Veronica, Helen, Theresa and Caroline; and brother, Frank.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Cavenas, Mahanoy City; four sons, John and his wife, Pam Hanrahan, Huntingtown, Md., Tim and his wife, Patti Hanrahan, Buck Mountain, Marty and his wife, Lynn Hanrahan, Mahanoy City, and Shawn and his wife, Tara Hanrahan, Mahanoy City; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Pauline Mcdonald Michigan; nieces and nephews.
Relatives are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Thursday at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Roman Catholic Church, Mahanoy City. Interment will be in St. Canicus Cemetery, Mahanoy Township. Calling hours will be from 9:30 until time of the Mass Thursday at the church. The family would prefer memorials to the St. Vincent dePaul Food Pantry. James P. Haughney Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
