John McCormick Obituary

John L. "Jack" McCormick Jr., 80, of Orwigsburg, formerly of New Ringgold, passed away Tuesday at Orwigsburg Center, Orwigsburg.

Jack was born in Auburn, March 23, 1937, a son of the late Katie Petry Leiby.

He was the widower of Fern M. Hettinger McCormick, and graduate of Auburn High School. Jack served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was self-employed as an auto body painter.

Jack is survived by his stepson, Phillip J. Harley; grandchildren, Brendan Harley and Caitlin Harley; two sisters-in-law, Darlene, wife of Delbert Miller, and Alice, wife of Clair Schleicher.

Services are private at the convenience of family, and entrusted to Hamilton-Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Orwigsburg.

I am going to miss you John boy I enjoyed spending time with you when I came into work everyday....you were so funny...sleep tight don't let the bed bugs bite and if they do hit them with a shoe make them all black and blue...im gonna miss saying that to u every night.
