Mary D. Brown, 85, of Williamstown, passed away unexpectedly Sunday at the Manor of Susquehanna Village, Millersburg.

Born in Williamstown, Aug. 15, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Helen Garber Verbish.

Mary retired as a seamstress from the former Lebro Shirt factory, Lykens.

She was a member of the former Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church and was attending Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, both in Williamstown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William; a son, Dennis; two brothers, Michael and Emil Verbish; three sisters, Theresa Hughs, Helen Bubak and Mildred Tomko.

Surviving are her son, William "Bill" Brown and his wife, Jeanne, Harrisburg; a stepgranddaughter, Kimberly Ade, Harrisburg; and a step-great-granddaughter, Sydney Rukas.

Private committal services will be held at the convenience of the family from Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Williamstown EMS, P.O.
