Randolph J. "Randy" Derricott

Randolph J. "Randy" Derricott, 63, of Frackville, passed away unexpectedly Monday evening at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Frackville, Oct. 19, 1950, he was a son of the late Dorothy Lahogge.

He was a graduate of Frackville High School, Class of 1967.

He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War, having attained the rank of corporal. He also served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard with Company C, 3rd Battalion, 109th Infantry.

He worked for Gould Pump, Ashland, as a machinist for more than 30 years, retiring in 2006.

Randy was of the Catholic faith and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 398, Frackville.

Randy is survived by his wife of 12 years, Betty J. Farnsworth Derricott, Frackville; a son, John Derricott, Aristes; sister, Bonnie Blankenship, Bridgeport, W.Va.; stepdaughter, Angela Krieger, Pittston; stepson, George Oakum Jr., Auburn; three stepgrandchildren; Uncle Chipper, Texas; a niece; and his beloved dog, Coco.
