Thomas D. Hentz

Thomas D. Hentz, 71, of York Haven, York County, passed away Saturday at his residence.

He was born in Butler Township, April 20, 1943, a son of the late Reuben Hentz and Blanche Herb Hentz.

He was a 1961 graduate of Tri-Valley High School.

He served in the Army.

He had retired from PPG, Carlisle, on June 1, 2005 and was currently employed at Eastern Bakery Systems, Etters.

He was a member of American Legion Post 594, Middletown.

Tom enjoyed golfing, flea markets and auctions. He also made a regular habit of breakfast with the guys at Two Brothers Restaurant, Etters.

He is survived by two daughters, Holly M. Thomas and her husband, John, Hummelstown, and Sherri A. Via, Lebanon; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Hentz, Lansdale, James Hentz, Horsham, and Randy Hentz, Tower City; nieces and nephews.

Services with military honors will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, with the Rev, Jonathan Hart officiating.
