Thomas F. Minnich Sr., 71, of Tower City, passed away Thursday morning in Tremont.
Born in Tower City, Oct. 20, 1942, he was a son of the late Arthur and Mary Molko Minnich.
Tommy was a 1960 graduate of the former Porter Tower High School.
He retired as sheet metal mechanic, and had also been a meat cutter for many years.
He was of the Protestant faith and a member of Orwin Gun Club.
Tommy enjoyed boating and fishing at his camp along the Juniata River.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Arthur Jr., John "Ted," Richard and Michael.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Gail Carl Minnich; children, Thomas Minnich Jr. and his wife, Rachel, Columbia, Timothy Minnich and his wife, Deborah, Hegins, Tammy Dodson and her husband, John, New Cumberland, and Michael Minnich and his wife, Perri, Williamstown; five grandchildren, Daniel Schreffler, Thomas III, Abby, Jonathon and Wyatt Minnich; two brothers, Terry and David Minnich, both of Tower City; nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes Inc., Tower City. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. at the chapel.
