Thomas H. "Harry" Williams, 89, of Muir, passed away Friday at the Tremont Health & Rehabilitation Center, Tremont, with his family by his side.
Born in Heckscherville, June 2, 1924, he was a son of the late David and Bridget Brennan Williams.
He was a coal miner for more than 20 years and retired from TRW, Harrisburg, after 19 years of service.
He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Muir.
Harry enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening or spending time at his camp along the Juniata River.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Williams; two sons, the Rev. Thomas Williams and an infant, Richard Williams; and his siblings, William, John and Joseph Dullard, David, Richard and Aloysius Williams, Mary Wiley, Margaret McShaw and Elizabeth Mason.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Catherine Herb Williams; two sons, Robert "Abe" Williams and his wife, Carol, Muir, and Patrick Williams and his wife Daryl, Tremont; five grandchildren, Charles Roeder, Kristin, Ryan and Corey Williams and Ashley Johnson; four great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Anika, Adam and Brynna Roeder; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc., 644 E. Grand Ave, Tower City, with Pastor Monica Romberger officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Muir. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the chapel.
