Elizabeth Rzeplinski Obituary

Elizabeth Rzeplinski, 72, of 635 W. Spruce St., Mahanoy City, passed away Tuesday morning at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Elysburg, Nov. 28, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Felix and Frances Korncavage Kopitsky.

She lived in Mahanoy City until moving to New Britain, where she lived for several years, returning to Mahanoy City in 1983.

She attended the Wynn School, Elysburg. She worked in the local garment industry.

She was a member of St. Casimir Roman Catholic Church, Mahanoy City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, in 1988; a son, Edward Jr., in 1999; a brother, Felix Kopitsky, in 2005; a sister, Dorothy Joline.

Surviving are sisters, Frances Azary, Elysburg, Josephine Saux, Catawissa, Ann Spishock, Coal Township, and Martha Maciejewski, Catawissa; granddaughters, Amanda and Monica Rzeplinski; a great-grandson, Jayden Robles; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday from Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home Inc., Mahanoy City. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Casimir Church. Friends may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Casimir Cemetery, Mahanoy City, where a white dove will be released in her memory.
