Anna Pritiskutch, 98, of Forestville, Cass Township, died Saturday evening at Rest Haven, Schuylkill Haven.
Born in Gilberton, she was a daughter of the late Steve and Mary Powlick Matz.
She attended Buck Run School and was employed in the garment industry, working most of her career at Jackson Sportswear, Primrose.
Anna was a member of St. George Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Minersville. She was also a member of ILGWU and Forestville Fire Company Auxiliary, where she also served as past president.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter, Dec. 17, 1950; a son, Peter "Butch" Jr., Nov. 5, 1984; two daughters, Helen and Mary Pritiskutch, both in infancy; a granddaughter, Kathy Depsky Yakamavage, Feb. 12, 2012; and five brothers, Andrew, Nicholas, Frank, Michael and John Matz.
Anna is survived by three children, John Pritiskutch, Jonestown, Irene Depsky, Llewellyn, and Catherine Keller (William), Schuylkill Haven; 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; three siblings, Helen Brennan, Dauphin County, Harry Matz, Jonestown, and Joseph Matz, Port Carbon; nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. Friday at Dutcavich Funeral Home, Minersville, and from 6 to 9 a.m. Saturday. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. in St. George Church, with the Rev. Michael Danczak officiating. The family requests memorials to the St. George Church Memorial Fund. Contributions will be accepted at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. George Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Branch Township.
