Carol Ann McCloskey, 71, of Minersville, passed away peacefully Tuesday surrounded by her family.

Born in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late George and Margaret Robison.

She was a 1963 graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School. Carol worked for many years at Way-Mart grocery store in Minersville and later earned her medical assistant certification from the former Schuylkill Institute of Business and Technology. She was later employed by Comprehensive Women's Health of Pottsville until her retirement. Most recently, Carol enjoyed her time as a volunteer at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Schuylkill E. Norwegian Street.

Married for 45 years, Carol is survived by her husband, Gary. She was loved by her two sons and their families, Joee, his wife, Karen, and children, Rebecca and Ryan, and Michael and his wife, Angela. Carol is also survived by brothers, Alan McClure and Gerry Robison, and sister, Barbara Kies.

Relatives and friends may call from 6 a.m. until services begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Dutcavich Funeral Home, 200 Sunbury St., Minersville. The family will be present to receive guests starting at 9 a.m. Interment will be in Mount Peace Cemetery, Branch Township. Carol loved watching her grandchildren cheer and play sports for Nativity BVM High School in Pottsville.
