Carole Holzinger Obituary

Carole M. Holzinger, 77, of Hegins, passed away July 20 at her residence.

She was born Monday, Oct. 9, 1939, in Hegins, a daughter of the late Roy C. and Ioma C. Ochs Coleman.

She was a 1957 graduate of Tri-Valley High School, also a graduate of the Reading Hospital School of Nursing, Prince George's County MD Community College and the University of Maryland with a degree in health education.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother, Gary Coleman.

She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Holzinger, to whom she was married for 56 years. She is also survived by two sisters, Marcelle E. Stiely and her husband, Terry, Klingerstown, and Linda S. Zimmerman and her husband, Carl, Hegins; a sister-in-law, Edna Coleman, Winchester, Ky.; two aunts; nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, with the Rev. Gerald Frey officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be made in Church of God Cemetery, Valley View. Memorial contributions can be made to a favorite charity.
