Dennis W. Garber, 58, of Barnesville, died Thursday at St. Luke's University Hospital, Bethlehem.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Barbara E. Bradley Garber.
Born in Shenandoah, he was a son of the late Walter and Lettie "Betty" Herring Garber.
Dennis was employed by the Freeland Post Office as a rural route carrier for 30 years.
He was a member of Christ Church of Rush Township and Barnesville.
Dennis was a graduate of Mahanoy Area High School. He was lead vocal and guitar for the group Bandit and he was an avid Nascar fan.
He was preceded in death by his brother, James F. Garber.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Justin A. Kaiser, Delano; daughters, April M. Yedsena, wife of Lenny, Frackville, and Narissa N. Garber, at home; sisters, Joanne Tuckett, Tamaqua, Linda Humes, wife of Charles, Barnesville, and Karen Garber and Brenda Neifert, both of Shenandoah; four grandchildren, Anthony, Lenny, Brooke and Briley; nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home Inc., 655 E. Broad St., Tamaqua. Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Christ Church of Rush Township and Barnesville, Field and Flexer Roads, Tamaqua, with the Rev. Janet Kline officiating. Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church. Private interment will be at the convenience of the family. Memorials in his honor may be sent to the Emergency Fund of Christ Church, c/o Rev.
