Edward P. Rolko, 72, passed away Friday at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Ashland, July 4, 1940, he was a son of the late Anna Kowalishen.

He was the owner and operator of Mr. Edward's Beauty Salon, Shenandoah, for 50 years.

He attended St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Church, Shenandoah.

He was a drummer in the former Versatones band, loved cooking and expressed his artistic abilities through painting.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Joann Uscilowicz Rolko; two sons, Edward Rolko, Hamburg, and Forrest Rolko and his wife, Anne, Tamaqua; a daughter, Caroline Kenyon, Vestal, N.Y.; six grandchildren, Britney, Megan and Aaron Rolko, Jason Thompson, Scott Kenyon and Bryan Kenyon; and a great-granddaughter, Victoria Kenyon.

Calling hours and funeral services will be strictly private at the request of the family. A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Michael Ukranian Catholic Church, Shenandoah. Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc., Shenandoah, is in charge of the arrangements.
