Eva Osceles, 87, of Middleport, passed away Friday evening at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.

Born in Middleport, May 19, 1930, she was raised in and proud to be a lifelong resident of Middleport. She was a daughter of the late John and Eva Yankowski Lapinsky.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Osceles, in 1980; a son, David P. Osceles, in 2013; a stepsister, Florence Barton.

Eva is survived by a daughter, Cynthia, wife of David Schane, Cumbola; grandchildren, Jill, wife of Bret Markus, Cumbola, Derek Schane, Cumbola, and Brianna Osceles, Las Vegas; great-grandchildren, Luke Schane, Danny and Joey Markus.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, New Philadelphia, with the Rev. Ronald J. Minner as celebrant. A viewing will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Thomas J. Bartashus Funeral Home, New Philadelphia. Interment will be in Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown.
