Gary Stutzman Obituary

Gary L. Stutzman, 66, of Spring, Texas, and formerly of Valley View, passed away July 19 in a work-related accident in Houston, Texas.

Born March 18, 1950, in Valley View, he was a son of the late Lloyd M. and Hilda A. Knorr Stutzman.

He was a 1968 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor's and master's degree in chemistry.

For the past 20-plus years, Gary lived in Houston, working for several plastic manufacturing companies. His work took him to almost every continent. Although much of his travel was work-related, he took time to pursue his passion, photography.

He is survived by his wife, Aha, and her daughter, Evy; a brother, Lamar, and his wife, Betsy; sisters, Barbara Wetzel and her husband, Roger, and Debra Stiely and her husband, John; two aunts, Myrtle Herring and Dolly Klouser; an uncle, Forrest Herb; nieces and nephews.

Gary was a loving husband, father, brother and uncle. He will be sorely missed by everyone.

Gary was a wonderful friend during my elementary school years when we were both students at the Main Street and Gap Street schools.
I have so many fond memories of us sleigh riding in the winter at Chicken Hill, hiking in the woods and going to Hershey Park!
Condolences being sent to his family!

I remembered Gary as a passionate man. He embraced the excitement of living a life (sport car and scuba diving) and had strong curiosity to the mother earth (stone collection). I am sorry for Gary leaving us this early.
