WE LOVE YOU JIMO!!!!!
August 11, 2010
Jim VanLare was a rare breed indeed. He was an extremely, and personally, generous man to people he hardly knew. The one instance that stands out to me is, was while dining at his favorite restaurant, he found out that the bartender’s mother was stricken with cancer. The mother lived in her native Istanbul and there was little her son could do. Like the 5’ 2” GIANT he was Jim VanLare paid to fly the mother to New York and managed to get her admitted to Sloan Kettering one of the best cancer treatment centers in the world. She survived and was eventually able to return to her home. How many of us have even thought so selflessly?
PERSONAL NOTE TO JIM: Hey buddy, please put in a good word for the rest of us.

Jim will truly be missed! He made my day to walk in and give his peach fuzz a rub, especially after a haircut! He will truly be missed by all those whose lives that he has touched in a truly positive way! Which would be everyone he ever met!
Thumbs up from the great James C. Van Lare
