James Joseph Stellato, 75, of Lansdale, died Sunday at Doylestown Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Jim was the be-loved husband of 33 years of Carlotta O. Leonard Stellato.
Born in Ashland, he was a son of the late James Vincent and Irene Sweeney Stellato, formerly of Girardville, and brother of the late Virginia Manganelli.
Jim was a former resident of North Wales before moving to Lansdale in 2000.
Jim attended St. Joe's High School and attended Bloomsburg University.
He later served in the submarine service in the Navy.
Jim worked in retail sales and was a business owner.
He also owned Rocky's III Pizza Shop, Trumbaursville, and Carlotta's Baldwin House, Coopersburg.
Jim enjoyed sports and was active in many games. He refereed high school and college basketball games and coached Little League football and baseball.
Jim will be greatly missed by his family and his little Tootsie dog, who always sat with him while he watched his sports on television.
In addition to his beloved wife, Carlotta, he is survived by his children, Beth Pomper and her husband, John, Kathleen Demczyszyn and her husband, Scott, James Stellato, Jennifer Stellato, Carol Stellato and her husband, Winston Manning, Susan Senick and her husband, John, James Galligan Jr. and Mark Galligan. He is also survived by his sister, Joanne Bubnis and her husband, Jackie, and his 12 cherished grandchildren, John and Nick Pomper, Brianna and Maria Stellato, Dominique and Ava Manning, Amy and Erin Demczyszyn, Kimberly and John Senick, and Jacob and Olivia Galligan. He also leaves behind his nephews, John and James Bubnis, and his niece, Mary Frost.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing from 9 a.m. Thursday until his Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 5175 Cold Spring Creamery Road, Doylestown. Interment will follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, New Britain, is in charge of arrangements.
