John Readinger Obituary

John L. Readinger, 73, of Washington Street, Muir, passed away Tuesday at home with his family by his side.

Born in Tower City, Dec. 21, 1937, he was a son of the late John and Jenny Paul Readinger.

John was a 1955 graduate of Porter Township High School.

He was an Army veteran.

John retired after 19 years of service with Central Storage, Harrisburg.

He was of the Protestant faith. He enjoyed camping along the Juniata River and boating on Lake Mead with his family. He was very proud and enjoyed watching his grandson's racing team at Selinsgrove. He dearly loved his dog, Kai, who brought great joy to him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Ronald Readinger.

Surviving are his wife, Dayne M. Bixler Readinger; a daughter, Spring M. Davis and her husband, Glenn, Muir; a son, Matthew J. Readinger and his wife, Jennifer, East Berlin; four grandchildren, Glenn, Chad, Michelle and Faith.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Chapel of Dimon Funeral Homes Inc., Tower City, with the Rev. Edward Gobrecht officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Orwin. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the chapel. Memorial donations in John's name can be made to St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Dietrich Avenue, Orwin, PA 17980.
