John P. Blozoskie, 71, of 1204 Main St., Gilberton, died peacefully Sunday morning, shortly after arrival at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street.

Born in Shenandoah Heights, he was a son of the late Joseph C. and Anna R. Napavanitz Blozoskie.

He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Frackville.

He was preceded in death by a brother, George Blozoskie

John is survived by five brothers, Joseph Blozoskie, Frank and his wife, Connie Blozoskie, and Michael "Blazer" Blozoskie, all of Maizeville, Anthony and his wife, Diane Blozoskie, Mahanoy City, and Stanley and his wife, Diane Blozoskie, Frackville; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Frackville, with the Rev. J. Michael Beers, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Louis cemetery, Englewood, Frackville. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
