Lawrence J. "Larry" Dilliard, 61, of Morea, died Wednesday at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Catasauqua, Feb. 25, 1951, he was a son of the late William and Constance Dilliard.

He was a veteran of the Marine Corps, serving in the Vietnam War. He was a sergeant and received the Rifle Sharp Shooter medal, the National Defense Service medal, the Vietnam Service medal, the Meritorious Mast and the Good Conduct medal.

On Sept. 19, 2007, he married Kathy L. Seebald, who survives. Until retiring, he was employed by Baseline as a truck driver. Larry loved to fish and he loved his children and grandchildren dearly.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three daughters, Melanie Howard, Lori Rowe and Lee Ann Garton; 10 grandchildren; three sisters; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home Inc., Sixth and West Market streets, Pottsville, is handling the arrangements.
