Lillian E. Fogarty, passed away Wednesday at Emmanuel Center, Danville, where she had been a resident.
Born in Audenreid, March 8, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Martin J. and Rose Erdossy.
She was the widow of James G. Fogarty Sr., who passed away June 23, 2010.
Lillian was a 1944 graduate of McAdoo High School and was formerly employed by the Wearever Pen & Pencil factory.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by three children, Karen Austin and husband, Robert, Ledyard, Conn., Roslyn Slike and husband, Samuel, Havertown, and James G. Fogarty Jr. and wife, Nancy, Orwigsburg. Lillian is also survived by grandchildren, Ryan Austin and wife, Amy, Kristopher Austin and wife, Dionne, Nicholas Austin and wife, Sonja, Jennifer Slike Fifer and husband, Mark, and Andrew Slike and fiancee, Elaina Van Kirk; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Edith Loveless, Wilmington, Del., and Olga Pugh, Harrisburg.
A committal service will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, at a later date. At the family's request, memorial donations in Lillian's name may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
