Margaret Lorraine "Peggy" Hoy, 87, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Wednesday at Rosewood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Margaret was born in the Manayunk section of Philadelphia, Nov. 2, 1930, a daughter of the late George and Ruth Angstadt McCleary.

She was a member of Christ Church McKeansburg, where she sang in the choir and until 2017 was the director of the monthly soup kitchen. She was a graduate of Kutztown High School. Peggy was a gifted server at many eating establishments in the area.

She was preceded in death by brother, Albert, and sisters Hilma, Betty Jane and Suzanne.

She is survived by a daughter, the Rev. Sunny L. Stock, wife of John; two sons, Terry L. Snyder, husband of Donna, and Gary L. Miller, husband of Judy; a brother, Ronald Rhode, husband of Mary Ann; grandchildren, Ian and Greg Stock, Steven Miller, Amanda Miller Bish, Brian Deter, Geoff and Mark Stoner and Cheyanne Stevens; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Christ Church McKeansburg. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Hamilton-Breiner Funeral Home and Cremation Services is honored to be serving the family.
