Marie Meiswinkle Berner, 91, died April 6 in Orlando, Fla.

Born in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Marie Meiswinkle.

She graduated in 1939 from Pottsville High School and Ford School of Business.

She married her husband, William Berner, in 1945 and moved to Chattanooga, Tenn.

She was employed by Railroad Express for many years and later by the Superintendent of Hamilton School Board, serving as secretary for both.

After the death of her husband, she relocated to Orlando.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Meiswinkle Jr.

Marie is survived by a brother, Robert C. Meiswinkle and his wife, Felice; a sister, Jean M. Hill; nieces and nephews.

She will be greatly missed by her family and especially her niece, Susanne Dolton, Florida, who gave her years of direction and thorough personal care and guidance with sincere love.

A graveside memorial service will be held in Chattanooga.
