Mark E. Widel, 57, of Pottsville, passed away Thursday at his residence.

Mark was born in Pottsville, Oct. 4, 1960, a son of Mary Lou Ward and Edward F. "Buddy" Widel, of Orwigsburg.

He was the husband of Mary T. "Terry" Donahue Duffy Widel.

He was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven.

Mark was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School, Class of 1978.

Prior to his retirement, Mark worked as the purchasing agent at Thermo Dynamics Boiler Co., Schuylkill Haven, and then as the purchasing agent/salesman for Columbia Boiler Co., Pottstown.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by brothers, Gregory Widel, Ohio, and Michael Widel, Leesport; fur baby, Bailey; aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces; nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven, with Monsignor William Glosser officiating. No viewing or visitation will be held prior. The family requests donations to St. Ambrose Church Memorial Fund, 201 Randel St., Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972. Interment will be at Saint Ambrose Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven. To extend online condolences, visit www.gsesfuneralhomes.com.
