Regina A. "Jean" Kelly, Mahanoy City, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter and son-in-law.

Born in Shenandoah Heights, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Julia Brennan Coady and the late Amelda Coady.

She was a graduate of Mahanoy City High School.

Jean married John H. Kelly on Nov. 25, 1950. Jean nestled into being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She also was a wonderful baker.

Jean was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Roman Catholic Church, Mahanoy City.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John "Jack" Kelly; and two brothers, Joseph and James Coady.

Surviving are children, John Kelly and his wife, Paulette, and Susan and her husband, Jerry Honus, both of Mahanoy City, and JoAnn and her husband, Tom Heiler, West Lawn; grandchildren, Samantha and husband, Todd Campbell, Jeremy Honus and his companion, Ashley Ferriro, Thomas Heiler, John Heiler and his wife, Kathy, Sean Kelly, Conor Kelly and Saray Kelly; and great-grandchildren, Jack Brayden Campbell, Cole Patrick Campbell and baby boy Campbell, due in August.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday in Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church, Mahanoy City. Interment will be in St. Canicus Cemetery, Mahanoy Township. Calling hours will be from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. The family would prefer memorials in her name to the Action Youth group or St. Vincent de Paul Society. James P. Haughney Funeral Home, Mahanoy City, is in charge of arrangements.
