Robert "Bobby" Beckett, 59, lifelong resident of Englewood, Frackville, died peacefully Sunday morning surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Ashland, he was a son of the late Thomas and Beatrice "Hocking" Beckett.

Bobby was a 1972 graduate of North Schuylkill High School.

He had been employed at the former Model Garment Factory, Frackville, and was presently employed in the shipping/receiving department of M&Q Packaging Co., Schuylkill Haven.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Frackville.

His life revolved around his family and his home, which he built with his brother. His pastime was working on cars and he was an avid muscle car enthusiast.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, the former Carol Davis; his three daughters, Lisa Beckett, Kimberly Beckett and her fiance, Chad Chaklos, and Amy Beckett, all of Frackville; three brothers, James and his wife, Diane Beckett, Morea, Theodore and his wife, Diane Beckett, Mountain Top, and Donald and his wife, Liz Beckett, Frackville; his sister, Shirley and her husband, Albert Stankavage, Frackville; his sister-in-law, Barbara and her husband, John Levertavish, Hamburg; several nieces and nephews; and his three cherished companions, Nena, Bentley and Maxx.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday from Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville, with his pastor, the Rev. Sue Ketterer, officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Frackville. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions in Bobby's name be made to the Memorial Fund of First United Methodist Church, 25 S. Balliet St., Frackville.
