Scott A. Mengel, 61, of Hamburg, died Friday in the Laurel Center, Tilden Township.

He was born in West Reading, a son of the late William I. and Marguerite S. Huett Mengel.

He graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 1974. Scott was a sheet metal worker with Local 19, Philadelphia, for over 30 years prior to his retirement in 2011. He was an avid hunter and was a member of the Port Clinton Fish & Game Association, Hamburg Legion, and an A member of the Hamburg Fish and Game Association.

Scott is survived by his former wife, Deborah E. Knoblauch; daughter, Courtney A. Mengel; son, Matthew M. Mengel; a granddaughter, Myla; brother, William I. "Billy" Jr., husband of Loretta Mengel; a nephew and niece.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to the Port Clinton Fish & Game Association, P.O. Box 42, Port Clinton, PA 19549, or the Hamburg Fish and Game Association, 935 N. Fifth St., Hamburg, PA 19526. Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home Inc., Hamburg, is in charge of arrangements.
