Shirley Caccese Obituary

Shirley A. Faust Caccese, 75, of North Warren Street, Orwigsburg, died at Wednesday morning at Genesis Healthcare-Orwigsburg Center, while in the company of family members.
Born in West Brunswick, Feb. 14, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Harry C. and Hilda M. Trout Dreher.
She was a 1954 graduate of Orwigsburg High School. She also graduated from Allentown Hospital School of Nursing.
She was a registered nurse at Wernersville State Hospital, Wernersville, retiring in 1996. She also worked at numerous nursing positions throughout the years.
She was a member of Christ Church of McKeansburg, New Ringgold.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Marion Dreher and Hilda Kutz.
Surviving are daughters, Cynthia J., wife of John J. Stemmler Jr., New Ringgold, and Connie E., wife of James M. Glunz, Orwigsburg; granddaughters, Jessica A. Stemmler and Emily A. Stemmler, both of New Ringgold, and Valerie E. Glunz, Orwigsburg; a grandson, Benjamin F., husband of Cherise E. Glunz, Elgin, Ill.; sisters, Mildred, widow of Robert Frantz, Tamaqua, Elizabeth, widow of Jay Boyer, New Ringgold, and Pauline, wife of Linwood Bartholomew, Orwigsburg; a brother-in-law, Frank, Pine Grove; nieces and nephews.
Religious services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Christ Church of McKeansburg, New Ringgold, with the Rev. Sunny L. Stock officiating. Family and friends are invited to call from 9 a.m. until the time of services Saturday. There will be no evening visitation. Interment services will be held at Kimmels Cemetery, Orwigsburg. Please honor Shirley's request and send contributions, in lieu of flowers, in her name to Christ Church of McKeansburg, 6 S. Race St., New Ringgold, PA 17960. Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., Orwigsburg, has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Cindy and Connie,
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. Shirley and I met @ Hamburg Center on the day we got our physical for work. We car pooled for many years & shared much about our private lives.It was ironic that our mothers died on the same day. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren. I will remember her always.

Shirley's family...We were sorry to hear of Shirley's passing. She was a classsmate of mine and a cousin to my husband. We offer our condolences to all. We will not be available for any services as we have a previous commitment. We will pray for your family .Shirley is now resting and at peace.

Cindy, Connie and families, I was so sorry to learn of Shirley's passing. Even though I only knew her for a short time, what a wonderful lady she was. How I will miss Shirley's smile and laugh and our visits with one another - while infrequent, always a joy. Connie, Cindy, and families,
I was so saddened to learn of your mother's passing. She was a terrific person, and I witnessed her compassion and caring when she nursed your aunt at Pinebrook. She also managed to comfort me at the same time as my own parents were failing. Among my fondest childhood memories are the good times we all spent together on Station Road. May God bless you during this difficult time.
