Marion Friedberg Hirsh, 99, a retired R.N., of Aventura, Fla., died Saturday.
Born in Mahanoy City, she was a daughter of the late Morris and Frances Rafalin Friedberg, and cousin of the late Rabbi David Rafalin, of Mexico.
Marion and her husband, Max Hirsh, who owned Hirsh's Bootery in Shenandoah, relocated to Florida in 1962. They were members of Chevra Kadesha Burial Society.
She was a life member of Nurses Alumni of the Jewish Hospital and Medical Center, Brooklyn, N.Y., and a member of Beth Torah Congregation Sisterhood. She was a life member of Hadassah since 1941, and served as a board member of Chia Chapter of Hadassah.
Surviving are sons, Joseph (Katie), Miami Beach, Fla., and Lester Hirsh, performer, Shenandoah; a daughter, Barbara, Cambridge, Mass.; granddaughters, Abby and Dara Hirsh; brother, Ralph Friedberg (Elaine), Wilmington, Del.; nieces, nephews and cousins.
