Donna M. Anderson Moyer, 66, of Rick's Road, New Ringgold, died Wednesday at home after a brief illness while in the care of her family.

She was the wife of David P. Moyer.

Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of Evelyn Rogers Anderson, Brownstown, and the late Walter Anderson.

Donna was a graduate of McCaskey High School and matriculated to Millersville University, earning her bachelor's degree in secondary education with an emphasis in math.

She had taught in the Manheim Township School District for 12 years and then substituted at various high schools, while raising her daughter. Donna most recently was an adjunct professor at Lehigh Carbon Community College-Morgan Campus, Tamaqua.

A certified and sanctioned USA Volleyball official, Donna worked the NCAA National Championship Final Four as an official score keeper.

Donna was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed tending to her vegetable garden. The fruits of her garden were canned or made into jams, which she generously gave to friends and family.

Surviving, in addition to her husband and mother, are a daughter, Michelle Moyer, Slatington; sister, Kathy Anderson Berger and her husband, John, Lancaster; brothers, Donald Anderson and his wife, Debbie, Stafford, Va., and Walter Anderson, Palm Springs, Calif.; nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Christ Evangelical Free Church, 2420 Blakeslee Blvd., Lehighton, officiated by the Rev. Greg Laible. Arrangements are being handled by Robert S. Nester Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold.
